This guide goes from a new account to a first response on the website channel. A survey shared as a link or QR code needs no install, so the site steps can be skipped for those channels.
1

Create your account

At app.usertick.com, sign up with your name, email and a password, or select Sign up with Google. After an email sign-up, enter the 6-digit code from the confirmation email and select Confirm email. Four short questions follow, and only the industry question is required. The industry you choose sets the categories your responses are sorted into; see How responses are read. Then enter the Organization name and Billing country and select Create organization. The country list contains only the countries where Usertick can bill a subscription.
2

Add your site

In Settings → Sites, select Add site, enter the Website address and select Add site again. Each site gets its own install code, and the new site’s tab opens with it. The Free and Starter plans include 1 site, Pro includes 3 and Business includes 10.
3

Install the code

Copy the tag from the site’s tab and paste it into the <head> of every page:
The dashboard fills in your site’s ID. After the change is live on your site, select Check now, and the site shows Connected once Usertick finds the code. A website survey can be published only on a connected site. The same tab can open an AI assistant with the install request already written, or email the instructions to a developer. For platform guides, see Install on your website.
4

Create a survey

On the Surveys page, select Create survey, then select Create with AI, Templates, Paste questions or Blank survey. The editor opens with the questions ready to adjust. One NPS question with an open text follow-up works well as a first survey.
5

Choose when it appears

In the Channel step, select Website. In the Targeting step, add a trigger such as After a delay of 5 seconds on the Triggers tab. On the Display rules tab, under Show frequency, set Repeat behavior to Every N days with 30 days. Pages, devices and visitor types can be narrowed later; see Targeting and Triggers.
6

Publish

In the Publish step, select the site and select Publish. The editor saves your edits as a draft as you work, and visitors see nothing until the survey is published. To see the survey, open your site in a new tab, wait for the trigger and answer it once.
7

Read the response

In the dashboard, open Inbox and select the response to see its answers. Responses from every channel appear in the same inbox; see Inbox.
