Before you start

  • If you own an organization that has other members, the deletion is blocked, and the dialog lists those organizations. For each one, transfer its ownership to another member or delete the organization. Both are under Settings → Organization. An organization that is already scheduled for deletion doesn’t block you. See Transfer ownership and Delete an organization.
  • If you are the only member of an organization, the organization is deleted with your account, including its surveys, responses and settings, and its subscription is canceled. Invitations that are waiting there are revoked as soon as you confirm. Export anything you want to keep before you confirm.
  • If your organization manages your account through single sign-on, Delete account is not offered. The administrator of your organization removes you instead. See Accounts managed through single sign-on.

Delete your account

1

Open Delete account

In Settings → Profile, select Delete account at the bottom of the page, and the dialog shows the date the deletion takes effect and any organization that is deleted with it.
2

Request a code

To confirm, select Email me a code, and Usertick sends a 6-digit code to your account’s email address.
3

Confirm

Within 15 minutes, enter the code. If two-factor authentication is on, also enter an Authenticator code from your authenticator app, or a recovery code. Then select Delete my account.
After you confirm, Usertick signs you out on every device and emails you the date the deletion takes effect, with the organizations that are deleted with the account. A code allows five attempts.

Until the deletion takes effect

For 14 days, the account is kept and nothing in it is deleted. During that time:
  • Notifications and scheduled reports are not sent to you.
  • The apps you connected are paused.
  • Nobody can join an organization that is deleted with your account.

Cancel the deletion

Signing in within 14 days cancels the deletion, and the account continues as before. Usertick emails you that the account is no longer scheduled for deletion.

What happens after 14 days

  • Your password, Google connection, two-factor settings, sessions, notifications and preferences are deleted.
  • Your name, email address, photo, job title, phone number and bio are removed. Comments and other work you added in organizations that other people still use stay there and show as Deleted user.
  • You leave every organization that you share with other people. The organizations where you are the only member are deleted.
  • Your open assignments, pins and shares are removed, and the apps you approved in those organizations are disconnected. API keys that you created stay with the organization. See Authentication.
  • Pending invitations to your address are canceled, and scheduled reports stop being sent to it.
  • Usertick emails you once when the deletion is complete, with the organizations that were deleted. The address can be used to sign up again later, as a new account.
Usertick deletes only the organizations that the dialog showed you. If you have become the only member of another organization since then, Usertick emails you the name of that organization and waits 3 more days before the deletion. The deletion runs once a day, so it can complete up to a day after the date shown. Support tickets you opened are kept without your name and email until 24 months after their last activity, and the activity log of an organization deleted with your account is kept for 12 months. Stripe and Link keep the receipts and invoices for paid orders. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule, and Usertick does not restore deleted data from them. The privacy notice has the details.
