Email

Email sends to any number of lists

  • Any number of lists. A send can go to as many contact lists as you pick. Before, a send took at most 20 lists. Picked one by one, a send still takes up to 5,000 people.
  • Search and sort every send. In the Email area, the search finds a send by its subject, its survey or the name of a list it went to, and Sort orders sends by when they go out, by survey, by recipients or by how many people answered, across every send rather than the ones already loaded.
  • Retry failed says how many people a send failed for in all when there are more than the 5,000 one retry takes.
  • See Email surveys.

Report abuse in website surveys

Website surveys now show a Report abuse link beside the Powered by Usertick badge, on the questions and on the thank-you screen, in the survey’s language. It opens Usertick’s report form in a new tab, and the report names the page and the survey. A survey that hides the badge hides the link too. Survey pages of link, QR and email surveys already show the link, with or without the badge. Plan features.

Deleting a survey deletes its responses

Deleting a survey now deletes its responses permanently, with their uploaded files, notes and AI readings. Before, the responses stayed stored and only stopped appearing in Usertick. They count toward the month they arrived in as before. To retire a survey and keep its results, archive it instead. Delete a survey.

Chat surveys

A survey can now be shown as a conversation. Under Display, How are questions shown? has a third choice, Chat.
  • One question at a time: each question appears as a message, word by word, and the answer becomes a bubble on the visitor’s side of the conversation, which the visitor can select to change it.
  • Replies after answers: write a reply for each option, for a low, middle or high answer, for yes or no, or for any answer. With Built-in replies on, rating, score and written answers get a short thank-you sentence when the question has no reply of its own. The built-in sentences are in English for now.
  • Avatar and name: Theme shows the first letter of the Chat name, Image shows a picture from the media library, and None shows no avatar. Show the name puts the name above the messages.
  • Same survey underneath: branching, time limits, required questions, languages and variants work as in a step-by-step survey, and answers are stored in the same way.
  • Chat is on every plan and works in the popup, the side button, embedded surveys and the hosted page. Chat.
TriggersWidgetTargeting

Smart triggers

Website surveys can open at the moment a visitor’s behavior says a question is useful. Usertick reads these signals in the visitor’s browser with fixed rules, and nothing is recorded or sent.
  • Frustration: rage clicks, clicks on links or buttons that change nothing, page errors and failed form validation add up over 30 seconds, and the survey opens at the chosen level.
  • Finished reading: the survey opens once the visitor has reached the end of the content and spent enough time to read it, so “Was this page helpful?” reaches the people who read the page.
  • Engaged visitor: a score from time on the site, scroll depth, pages viewed and interactions opens the survey at the chosen level.
  • Hesitation: the survey opens when a visitor comes back to a page viewed earlier in the visit, or returns to the tab after 30 seconds away. With a page rule, it reads as “came back to pricing”.
  • Can’t find it: the survey opens when a visitor hops between pages, searches the site a second time or goes straight back from pages.
  • Don’t interrupt: once the conditions are met, the survey waits, up to 10 seconds, until the visitor stops typing, scrolling, selecting text or watching a video.
  • Double the wait after each close: the wait after a close doubles each time, and after the third close the survey doesn’t show to that visitor again.
The smart triggers, Don’t interrupt and the doubling wait are on the Pro plan and above. Triggers.

More triggers, and three that moved

  • Text copied opens a survey when a visitor copies text, such as a code sample in your docs, and Video watched when a video on the page has been played to a set share. Both are advanced triggers, from the Starter plan.
  • Calls needed on a custom event opens the survey on a later call, such as the fifth report_exported.
  • The URL match, referrer and device conditions are no longer trigger types. Page rules, the referrer rule and devices in Display rules cover them, and a survey that still had one shows without it in the editor.
Link surveysQR codesCustom domains
  • Add a domain under Settings → Developers → Custom domains: enter a subdomain you control, such as feedback.example.com, then add the TXT and CNAME records it shows at your DNS provider.
  • Usertick checks the records every 10 minutes, or right away with Check now, and issues the HTTPS certificate once both are found. The domain shows where it stands: Waiting on DNS, Issuing certificate, Live or Not reachable.
  • Each survey picks its domain in the Share step, under Domain. A survey that picks none keeps its usertick.com link, and email answer links follow the survey’s choice.
  • When a domain stops pointing to Usertick, members who manage developer settings get a notification, and the surveys on it show their usertick.com link until the records are back.
  • Pro includes 1 custom domain and Business 5. Custom domain.
TargetingTriggersWidgetAI

Ask fewer people, at better moments

Website surveys gained new controls for who sees them, when they open and how often they return:
  • Four repeat behaviors: Until answered (the new default), Once, Every N days and Every visit. Every behavior except Once can also wait N days after a visitor closes the survey without answering.
  • A site rule under Settings → Sites capped how many surveys a visitor met per visit. It was removed on September 28, 2026; since then each survey’s own repeat behavior decides how often it opens.
  • Several surveys on one page all wait for their trigger. The first one to fire opens, and priority breaks ties.
  • Page rules with operators: contains, is exactly, starts with, ends with and matches regex, tested on the path or the full URL, in included and excluded lists.
  • Sign-in state and traits: after your code calls Usertick.identify(userId, traits), a survey can target identified or anonymous visitors, or rules such as plan is pro and seats is at least 10. Since October 2026, a response also carries the id and traits (see Identify your users).
  • Earlier surveys: a survey can show only where another survey was, or was not, shown, answered or closed within N days.
  • Triggers: a time on site trigger that counts focused seconds across pages, then wait after the conditions are met, conditions limited to some devices, exit intent on phones (a fast scroll back to the top), delays that pause in background tabs, and custom events with property rules over the payload.
  • Browsers without storage: a browser that blocks cookies and site data is no longer asked on every page load. A survey that needs to remember what it showed stays hidden there.
  • AI setup: when you describe a survey in the creation chat, the AI proposes the whole website setup in one message: when it opens, on which pages, for whom and how often. Selectors and event names come only from what you wrote.
EditorWidgetTemplates

Six new question types

The question catalog grew from 17 to 23 types, with a focus on touch-friendly inputs:
  • Big scale: large tappable capsules from 1 to 10 with a stepper and a live readout.
  • Ruler: a tick ruler with units for durations and amounts, with an open top end such as “90+”.
  • Mood dial: a draggable wheel of faces.
  • This or that: pairs of options shown one at a time, for fast preference tests.
  • Points allocation: 100 points split across options, so priorities become trade-offs.
  • Number: a validated number with units and ranges.
All six work on every channel, feed skip logic (the numeric ones compare like any scale), appear in Results charts and translate like every other question. The AI question generator uses them when they fit.

A larger library

  • Question bank: ten new categories (effort and time, priorities and trade-offs, mood, usage and habits, checkout, team and company, content and docs, AI features, reliability, community) took the curated bank past 300 ready-made questions.
  • Templates: twelve new templates built on the new types, including Effort audit, Priority budget, NPS deep dive, Time to value, Before you go and Win / loss.
EmailEditor

Email campaigns

The email channel became a campaign system:
  • Your own domain: a custom SMTP server or a Resend, Mailgun or SendGrid key connects as the sender, a test send verifies it, and every campaign then goes out from your address.
  • Per-recipient history: every send is logged per person. Each campaign row expands to show who received it, whose email failed and who was skipped.
  • People who already received it: a repeat send can skip previous recipients.
  • Scheduled sends: a campaign can be scheduled for a date and time, and Usertick sends it then.
  • Unsubscribes are handled by Usertick and honored in every later send.

Editing together

The survey editor uses a soft lock. When a teammate is already editing a survey, the editor shows who it is, so neither of you overwrites the other’s changes.
ChannelsQR

One survey, any channel

A survey carries its channel as a setting of its own: website, link, QR or email. Switching keeps every channel’s settings, so moving a survey from the widget to a link and back loses nothing.

QR codes

Any survey can be shared as a printable QR code. The code points at the live survey, so the same printed code keeps working after later edits.
Foundation
The survey foundation:
  • 17 question types, skip logic, templates, and multi-language surveys that detect each visitor’s language.
  • Targeting: pages, devices, visitor type, referrer, query parameters, sampling and schedules.
  • Triggers: page load, delay, scroll, exit intent, clicks, hovers, idle, rage clicks, pages viewed, form abandon, JavaScript errors and custom events, with frequency caps and cooldowns.
  • Design: brand theming, light and dark modes, popup and modal display, steps mode, a launcher button and minimize.
