Ways to export
An Enterprise plan includes the routes that its order sets. Exports and reports describes the files in detail, and The Response resource describes the structure of a response in the REST API, in webhooks and in Zapier.
Data without an export feature
Some data can be viewed in Usertick but has no export feature on any plan:- contacts, with their attributes, unsubscribes and email delivery status;
- dashboards, workflows and themes, as definitions, and the media library as a whole;
- the activity log under Settings → Activity log.
Response history
How far back responses can be viewed and exported depends on the plan: 30 days on Free, 1 year on Starter, 2 years on Pro, 5 years on Business and the window set in the order on Enterprise. Older responses are hidden, not deleted, and the REST API follows the same window. They show again after an upgrade, and when you switch to another provider, Usertick exports them on request too.Before you delete the organization
Scheduling the deletion of the organization switches off its API keys and connected apps at once. Until the deletion date, members can still open the organization and use the Export menus, but the REST API no longer answers. Export what you need through the REST API before you schedule the deletion, or make a switching request instead, which keeps everything running while you move your data.Switch to another provider
You can move your organization’s data to another provider or to your own systems at any time, on every plan, the Free plan included. Usertick charges nothing for the switch, for the exports or for transferring the data. The binding terms are in section 19 of the Terms of Service.1
Send a switching request
The organization’s owner emails [email protected] from the owner’s email address. Usertick handles switching requests on every plan. The request says whether you are switching to another provider (name it, with a contact Usertick can work with), moving the data to your own systems, or only asking for the data to be erased. It also gives the date on which the transition period starts, which can be up to 2 months after the request, and lists the data you want Usertick to export for you.
2
Move your data during the transition period
The transition period lasts 30 days, and your plan and everything in it keep working. Export what your plan’s features cover. For the rest, Usertick’s staff send the owner a secure download link during the transition period: records as JSON files, in the structure the REST API uses where it covers them, and files in their original format. A download link works for up to 7 days, and Usertick keeps each archive for 30 days, so it can send a new link on request. If 30 days isn’t technically possible, Usertick tells you within 14 working days and sets a longer period of up to 7 months. You can extend the transition period once by telling Usertick before it ends.
3
Retrieve anything left
The agreement ends when you confirm that you have the data you need, or at the end of the transition period. Usertick then stops collecting responses and confirms by email that the agreement has ended. For the next 30 days, the retrieval period, Usertick keeps the data unchanged and exports it on request.
4
Erasure
When the retrieval period ends, Usertick deletes the organization and all of its data, as described in Delete an organization, and emails the owner when the deletion is complete. The organization’s activity log is deleted with it. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule, and Usertick uses them only to recover the service. A request that only asks for erasure deletes the organization on the date it gives, without a retrieval period.
